Single person supplement : £30.00 per person
We visit Clarence House, a favourite home for many generations of senior royals, including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother from 1953 until 2002, and The Queen, then Princess Elizabeth, and the Duke of Edinburgh following their marriage in 1947. Today Clarence House is the official London residence of The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. Visitors enjoy a guided tour of the five rooms and adjoining spaces on the ground floor, home to a fine collection of 20th–century paintings, furniture and treasures, which remain largely as they were in The Queen Mother's time.
Following this we continue on to The Royal Mews which provides road transport for The Queen and members of the Royal Family, and also houses the working stables responsible for training and looking after the Windsor Grey and Cleveland Bay horses which pull the royal carriages. See the stables and the state vehicles which are housed and maintained at the Royal Mews, including the Gold State Coach used at every coronation since that of George IV in 1821 and the daily messenger Brougham which has set out from the Royal Mews to collect and deliver post between Buckingham Palace and St James's Palace since 1843.
